I know that water from a landfill is directed to a place where it is treated. I know that this is just a drainage ditch for stormwater. But what's with the color?
Leachate!!! It's probably trickling through an area with high iron concentrate. It should be collected through a series of pipes under the landfill and treated but no landfill is perfectly sealed.
