Most everyone walked right by this small herd of deer.  Until they moved they were invisible.

This young deer watched us warily from the lakeside.

A momma deer and her little one watched suspiciously, but didn't run.

This young guy was hanging out in our backyard.

She was just munching along, minding her own business, right beside a busy trail.

She was watching us closely from the brush.

Her fawn was well camouflaged in the shadows.

A group of young deer watched us walk by on a busy park pathway.

This little guy reminded me of Bambi.

 

Mom and Dad were close by, on either side of an old fence.

Pumpkins, yum!

We found him munching on an old pumpkin at the entrance to the greenway.  He seemed well fed.

This little deer was quietly foraging by himself.  He still has his spots so he's pretty young.  We looked for Mom, but couldn't see her.

She was not curious about us, and barely even stopped her eating to check us out.

We stopped on the path to notice the deer, but most of the power walkers, dog walkers and bikers missed the small herd.

Looking down the path, we found this guy looking back at us.

Three deer beside the greenway, didn't run away when they saw us.  Instead they slowly crept closer.  I wonder who's been feeding them?

She was well hidden in the trees. 

 

Garden visitor

Walking through the arboretum we spied this little guy chomping on the plants.  Do they know they have a hungry visitor eating the displays?

A small herd of deer were roaming around Shelly Lake.  They kept their eye on the people walking around on the greenway.

 

How many deer do you see?

I counted three when I took this picture.  After I got it on the computer screen, I saw the fourth.   Do you see it?

 

Patronus?

This garden sculpture looks like the patronus from Harry Potter to me.  It's a little bit creepy.  

Can you keep a secret?

These two fawns visited the backyard.  They seemed to be telling secrets to each other.  Mom was across the yard, but keeping a close eye.
