More Pigs

What is it about pigs in North Carolina?  There are often pigs advertising restaurants, and now, this pig is sitting in the window of an antiques shop.  He doesn't look too old.

 

Why so many pigs?

 

Farmer pig stands out in the entrance to the Farmer's Market restaurant with his wife Mrs. Pig.  

A lot of restaurants in North Carolina have a pig theme going on.

Is that a commentary on the food or the customers?

If North Carolina had a state animal, it would be the pig.  There are pigs on display in most restaurants.  This one, with the North Carolina flag on him, sits outside a barbeque place.

New Pig in town

There's a new pig in town.  At the NC museum of Art.  The sculpture is called  Sculpt. C  by Jaime Hayon.  It has stairs at the back and a slide out the side.  The sculptor says it encourages play and interaction.  The sign does say " do not climb on top."

Lipstick on a pig

Who says lipstick doesn't make a pig beautiful?  Also pink hoof polish, blush and blue eye shadow?  She stands at the entrance to the Farmer's Market Restaurant, together with her husband, farmer Pig.
