Elsa

Tropical Storm Elsa came through Raleigh yesterday.  It battered Florida and parts of the Carolinas.  We had a day of torrential rains, but not much wind.  It rained all day, 4.1 inches total.  Then, it just stopped and the sun peeked out.

Isaias

The very first outskirts of Isaias rolled in yesterday.  We had a short visit to the  NC museum of Art sculpture park before the rain.

Hot, humid days make for stormy afternoons.  The clouds pop up from the rising moisture.

The wait was over Friday afternoon.  The rain bands started moving across Raleigh.  It is predicted to rain for 3 more days.  As of Saturday morning we had nearly 5 inches of rain.
