Why a greenhouse in the pond?

Toe Jam anyone?

In amongst the apple jelly, peach preserves and pepper jelly we found: Traffic Jam, Toe Jam and Frog Jam.

The ingredients in the Moonshine Jelly was just what you would expect: alcohol and pectin.

There were a lot of flavors to choose from.

 

Tractors

A market run by the department of Agriculture would definately have a few tractors.

These are really beautiful.

 

Why so many pigs?

 

Farmer pig stands out in the entrance to the Farmer's Market restaurant with his wife Mrs. Pig.  

A lot of restaurants in North Carolina have a pig theme going on.

Is that a commentary on the food or the customers?

 

Herbs too

The Farmer's Market sells more than just vegetables.  You can find almost anything that grows.

 

Farmer's Market

The North Carolina Farmer's Market brings together farmers from all over the state.  It is open every day of the year with whatever is growing at the time.  Sometimes it's only sweet potatoes.  There's a wide variety right now.

 

So many colors

Orange, purple and white cauliflower.

Yellow, red and green peppers.

And so many tomatoes!
