Theme day: Bridge

Bridges come in all sizes.  This one keeps your feet dry over a small trickle.

This one spans a creek.

 

Visitor

Looking out my kitchen window, I saw someone looking back at me.  A large Barred Owl.  He looked around for a while, flew to a nearby tree, and then moved off to better hunting grounds.  

 

Just passing by

Unfazed by people passing by on the greenway, this heron took a stroll.  

 

Kingfisher

A favorite perch for Mr. Kingfisher.

 

Glitter

Sunlight on the lake.

 

Walking on water?

The heron appeared to be walking on the water.  He was way out in the lake, but it was shallow enough for him to take a stroll.

 

Juxtaposition

If you stand in just the right place, a hoop of the Gyre surrounds a statue from Counterculture in the NC Museum of Art's sculpture park.
