Cormorants


The cormorants were fiesty on Shelly lake.  They were fighting for a place on the pilings.  They finally settled down to drying their wings in the sun.

    I have just been thinking, why are the pilons there - were they put there for the cormorants? Our lake has them too and I don't think there was an old jetty or anything there.
