While in Greensboro, we visited the International Civil Rights Center and Museum. It is in the exact building where 4 brave African American students sat down at the Woolworth's lunch counter and refused to leave. (see here)
The sit-in in 1960 helped invigorate the Civil Rights movement of the 60's.
The young men are honored with several plaques
They left big footsteps to follow.
Well worth preserving.
