Murder

A group of crows is a murder of crows, but if there are only a few does that make it mayhem instead?

We could hear them a long way off, croaking at each other.  They would gather in the trees, then all fly off at the same time, circle and come back to the tree to gather again.  All the time making loud croaks.

What do crows talk about when they meet up?

I'm not sure but it's very loud and raucous. 

Maybe naughty jokes?

He was looking a bit ominous in the tree, and making a LOT of noise.
