Skink

This little skink was hiding out on a tree trunk.  He looked a little snake-like at first.

I think this lizard knew he was nearly invisible on the wooden rail.

 

Skink

The shiny blue tail shows that this is a young five lined skink.  (see here) He was skittering around on the boardwalk handrail at Lake Lynn.  

Little Skink

When skinks are young they have blue tails.  This little guy was definitely a baby with his bright blue tail.

But who's counting?

This little guy is a five-lined skink.  The blue tail tells you that he's a young skink.  (more info here)This one hides under the siding of our house.  I'm hoping he likes to eat mosquitos.
