On the Lake

I don't know if they caught anything, but it was a good day on the lake.

Fishing off the dock at Shelly Lake.  All I saw them catch was sticks.

Killdeer

This killdeer just stood on one foot watching the tennis ball.  Does it think it's a friend?

Red tail

The squirrels were very upset when this Red Tailed Hawk decided to check out the lakeside.

The bald eagles are back

For a few years, a pair of bald eagles have nested at Shelly lake.  Last year the nest was destroyed and the baby fell to the ground.  The pair disappeared and we weren't sure if they were gone for good.  But they're back.  We'll have to see if they fix the old nest or start over.
