Tulip Magnolia

Spring is on its way.  The first of the flowering trees have started blooming.

Right now, most of the country is covered in snow.  

But the first flowering trees are in full bloom here in Raleigh.

A late frost could still freeze the blooms off, but for now, enjoy!

Just when it looked like spring was really here, we got a hard freeze.  The poor tulip magnolia trees couldn't hold on.

The tulip magnolias only bloom for a short time, but they're so welcome in the spring.

Yes, we do get snow.  But these are flower petals from a tulip magnolia.

Yes, spring is coming.  The Tulip Magnolias are in bloom.
