A new hawk

This time, it was a red tailed hawk munching on a squirrel in our backyard.  He saw me and flew up into a tree before swooping away.

Mr. Hawk sat high in a tree, looking intently down.  

Was he hunting the ducklings?

 

Red tail

This Red Tailed Hawk swooped high up in the loblolly pine and scanned for prey.  He flew off when the blue jays started to harass him.

 

Hawk eye

This hawk was sitting on a fence eyeing the children's playground. 

 Was he thinking about a snack?

 

Two Friends

I watched the hawk on the left fly across the meadow to the tree.  But I didn't see his friend until I looked at the picture later.

The squirrels were very upset when this Red Tailed Hawk decided to check out the lakeside.
