Interlopers

The robin was quite put out when a flock of Cedar Waxwings took over his bird bath.

 

Speckled Robin

This robin was hopping around the yard with a group of other robins.  I found out from my wise and wonderful naturalist friend that this is a leucistic robin, meaning that it is a partial albino.

Pretty cool!

 

Feisty

This robin was making loud chirpy noises at another robin in the same bush.  Very territorial right now.

 

Hitchcock

It looked like a scene from The Birds-robins everywhere.  They gathered in the trees and poked around on the ground looking for worms and bugs.

This young Robin still wanted daddy to feed him.  He was squawking loudly until dad brought him a treat.

The worms better watch out, Mr. Robin is on the hunt...

 

Mama Robin

Now I see why Daddy Robin was so distressed when I was in the garden.  Mama's sitting on her nest right above the tomatoes.

Angry birds

A pair of robins have built a nest in my garden.  This one cheeps angrily at me when I go out into the garden. I hope they'll be done before the tomatoes are ripe.

He's not a happy guy!

Bath time

After a rain, a flock of robins found a good puddle.

Swarming the trees, chirping and singing, a plethora of robins appeared.  

They were eating holly berries

And decorating bare branches.

This robin was standing on the shadow of a tree, and looked like a sheet metal cut-out.
