This interesting fruit is filled with air.  

It's a Bladdernut.  The fruit is like a balloon with seeds inside.    (see here)

Pine trees will grow anywhere.  This one is growing in the crook of a crepe myrtle street tree.

I wonder how many couples are still together.  The tree will last longer than most of them.

The beavers must have worked hard on this tree.

But they left the tree in place.  A lot of work for nothing.

Persimmon

This persimmon tree is loaded with fruit.  Last year it was loaded with birds eating the fruit.  It must not be quite ripe yet.

Turning a corner in Joslin garden we came upon a tree house.  

The door hinges were formidable but there was no one inside.
