The Oven Bird


He matches the leaf litter that he's digging in.  He's an Oven Bird, the subject of one of Robert Frost's most depressing poems. (see here)

    Lovely little bird. You must have a good eye to have seen him. I just read the poem, and looked up the oven bird's song. Didn't seem a mournful song to me....Frost must have been having one of those times.....
