For me, the highlight of the Juneteenth celebration was an African Drummer.  He mixed spoken word, rhythm and blues and his African drum.

 

Threads of Africa

Weavings of Africa was an all day celebration of the reopening of the North Carolina Museum of Art's African Art gallery.  They had music, above is Dialli Cissokho and Kaira Ba.  There was a place where kids could make African drums, with members of the Shabu family teaching them how to play them.
