Fishing on the Neuse

I've never seen anyone catch anything, but it doesn't stop them from trying.

We found him munching on an old pumpkin at the entrance to the greenway.  He seemed well fed.

The Bike Guy

The Bike Guy rents bikes on the greenway.  Probably not the old ones he's got hanging up in front.

Theme day: Transportation

The theme for October is Transportation.  An ebike with a little bit of pedaling power will get you pretty far.

But maybe not too fast.

I wonder what the story of these buildings is.

 

If walls could talk

There are several old buildings on this property.  They must be over 100 years old but I haven't been able to find out anything about their history.

A group of bikers flew past us on the greenway.

Under the bridge

The graffiti under the Louisburg road over the Neuse river.  It wasn't too exciting, but a little bit artsy.

 

Kingfisher

We heard him laugh before we saw him.  The kingfisher swooped down, caught a fish and then perched proudly after his meal.

We stopped on a quiet part of the greenway and saw this tiny little bird.

He didn't stop very long and it was hard to catch a picture of him.
