Abandoned

Momma cardinal started her family in a vine arbor.  She must have decided that it wasn't the right place and left her nest and eggs.  We haven't seen her for a while.

Where's the egg?

The neighbor has been hiding Easter eggs in her side garden for a week now.

There are new hiding places every day.

They're pretty easy to spot.

 

Chicken and the Egg

Each of these chickens lays a different colored egg.  The visitor center at the Oak View farm displays the latest produce from the farm, and the day we visited they had this pretty brown egg, from a "Silver Laced Wyndotta" hen.  That's her in the black with white spots.
