This little Merganser was happily diving in the pond all by himself.

A lone pair of hooded mergansers swam and dove in the pond.

There were two males and a female swimming and diving in Shelly Lake.  

 

More mergansers

We found a small flock of Hooded Mergansers swimming and diving in the lake.  They're shy, and moved off as soon as we came close.

Looks like they're already pairing off.

A group of Hooded Mergansers were diving for food near the dam at Shelly Lake.  

The ladies were trailing behind.
