Snap

This common snapping turtle was basking in the water, just waiting for an unsuspecting fish.

Old turtles

These big old turtles were basking in the sun.  

A red eared slider.  

These turtles are not native, but are becoming ubiquitous because people release their pets into the lakes.

We found this snapping turtle in Lake Lynn surrounded with little fish.  I think they were careful to stay away from his mouth.
