Japanese Crepe Myrtle


The bark of this Japanese Crepe Myrtle looks like a painting to me.


This tree is one of the oldest in the United States.  It was grown from seeds collected from Japan in the 1950's

  1. Crepe Myrtle has beautiful bark ... unfortunately the specimens at the front of our property as more shrub like rather than trees so I don't get to see much of the bark.
