Camouflage again

This Solitary Sandpiper fit right into its muddy surroundings.

 

Camouflaged

We wouldn't have noticed the killdeers except for the racket they were making.  Calling to each other across the lake.

 

If I pretend to be a rock...

...no one will notice me.

This baby bunny was hiding in plain sight.  I did see his nose wiggling though.

This little woodpecker was well camouflaged against the trees.

 

Hermit Thrush

This guy sat around for a long time as I took many shots to get one good one.  I'm sure he thought he was well camouflaged, and he was right. 

Color change magic

We saw this little anole, looked away, and a few minutes later...

She had changed her color.  

Green again

The anoles feel safe in the holly bush.  Nothing would want to attack in all the spiny leaves.  He still wanted to scare us away with is dewlap though.

He seems very curious about us, and watched us closely.

Camo Lizard

This lizard was really well camouflaged.

He blended right in with the vine he was climbing on.

Camouflage

Even when I saw him, it was hard to see this Hermit Thrush.  He was perfectly colored to disappear in the leaf litter.
