Lake Lynn trail east side is closed for now.  Goodbye for 6 months!

The tree roots have been making the trail bumpy and broken.

The city will be clearing tree roots and some trees, widening the path and smoothing it out.

Shady Walk

It was a hot day, and almost everyone was hibernating in the air conditioning.  Abbot's creek greenway was a welcome place for a shady walk.

Even the creek was moving slow.

Mountain bike fun

Green Hills Park has a mountain bike skills area.  It looks like a lot of fun.  And practicing here means they're not eroding the trails for everyone else.

The shadows of the tree trunks made stripes on the trail.

Smells like Christmas

Walking on a trail in Blue Jay Point County Park, we smelled Christmas.  And sure enough, the trail had been newly mulched with ground up Christmas trees.  It's great to know that they get good use.

Super Bowl afternoon

Maybe it was because Carolina wasn't playing in the Super Bowl, but people found better things to do.

Troll Stroll

This path is part of the outdoor play area at Wilkerson Nature Preserve.  Following the path you can find and count the trolls.

Fun for two year olds.
