The Japanese Maples explode

The Japanese Maples have exploded with color.

Even the ground beneath them is bright.

Amazing color for the end of fall.

Finally Fall

I thought we wouldn't see fall this year, but finally, mid-November, here it is.

 

Fall sneaks in

Slowly, slowly the leaves are changing.  Now it's the Maples.

The brightest trees right now are the Maples, getting their seeds ready to fly.

It seems whenever a plant is labeled Japanese, it is always graceful and elegant.  Above is a Japanese Maple

Finally Fall

After teasing for a few months, finally the trees are turning!  The holly (behind) will be green all winter, but the maples are glowing.
