This installation hung above the bandstand in the Greensboro city park. It waved in the breeze and changed shape. I don't know if it was an art installation or a safety net, but it was beautiful on a sunny, breezy day.
While in Greensboro, we visited the International Civil Rights Center and Museum. It is in the exact building where 4 brave African American students sat down at the Woolworth's lunch counter and refused to leave. (see here)
The sit-in in 1960 helped invigorate the Civil Rights movement of the 60's.
It looked like a dog team coming up the trail. The woman said she had 6 more at home. She fosters huskies and said people get them because they're so beautiful, but give them up when they find out how much work it takes to keep them busy.
